Dear members of the NLG society
This summer Newsletter will give you some brief information on the present status of the organization, the study group activities and a preliminary programme for the plenary meeting in Gothenburg 28-29 Oct. 2010.

The patient inclusion in ongoing studies was rather low also in 2009/2010, but is increasing due to new studies which have been launched. (see NLG working group activities).

Economy: For 2010, NLG was awarded 70 000 Euro from the Nordic Cancer Union. This is the same amount as for 2009 and 20 000 Euros more than for 2005 - 2007. Based on the applications and stated needs from the working groups, the NLG coordinating group has decided to distribute the money to the following projects: Large cell 13.373 €, Indolent 11.611 €, Mantle 18.464 €, T cell 11.416 €, CNS 15.136 €
The application process for 2011 is ongoing.

A new sponsor agreement is almost finalized for all nine sponsors for 2010 and 2011. The total sum is expected to be 70 000 € and the agreements are in accordance with the regulative between the Pharmaceutical Industry and Medical Organization in all the Nordic countries. The support is mainly for expenses associated with the plenary meeting and coordinating group and working group expenses. We warmly thank our present sponsors Roche and Mundipharma (main sponsors), Amgen, Bayer Healthcare, Novartis, Merck, Glaxo Smith Kline, Pfizer and Celgene.
